Four suspects who had allegedly stolen jewellery valued at Rs. 50 million from a devalaya in Galthenna, Thalathuoya, were arrested by the police early this morning, police said.
They said six suspects arrived in a three-wheeler and had stolen jewellery weighing 10 kilos and Rs. 400,000 in cash yesterday morning after threatening those in the devalaya at the time.
Police recovered the three-wheeler on information received from the CCTV footage and managed to arrest the four suspects along with stolen gold.
