Ranjan released on bail

Former MP Ranjan Ramanayake, who was arrested for obstructing the duties of police officers, has been released on bail by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today.

Police said he was released on two sureties of Rs. 200,000 each by the magistrate.

He was arrested on April 13 by the Mirihana Police along with his physiotherapist at Madiwela.

The physiotherapist was released and the MP was remanded till today.

    Two reasons for his release: 1. The government has finally realized that the election cannot be held in May. 2.Phone Ranja provides entertinment to the public who are bored at their homes.

    LOL, he can be abusive and vile to the Police and the UNP cheers him on backed by these so called courts. Ranjan probably has more recordings of them. So long as you are part of yahapalanya/UNP/SJB you are above the law and special. We see this all the time, just like with the Easter attackers. But these are the same people who are going around saying they care about the people during the pandemic.

    Was he ordered to vacate the MP's Quarters at Madiwela?? If not why??? Madiwela MP's complex must be turned into a temporary qurantine centre. WHY NOT????
