UNP Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake yesterday said it is questionable as to how the copies of CDs seized from him went into the hands of third parties.

“ It is questionable as to how the copies of CDs went into the hands of government MPs, monks and certain media institutions as it is alleged that police have taken them into their custody,” Ramanayake added. He said that he had decided not to come up with any details pertaining to the CDs which were in his possession as they have become court productions. Mr. Ramanayake made this remark when Daily Mirror asked him as to when he made the recordings of his phone conversations.

“ I don’t think I should make any comments about the CDs as they have become court productions,” he said. Mr. Ramanayake added that he will answer to all allegations made against him by the MPs in Parliament after listening to all the MPs. He had already mentioned in public that the license of the pistol given to him has not been renewed for three years and that relevant authorities have not informed him about the necessity for a renewal of the weapon. He was and still is the Ranil's puppet, doing all the dirty work for Ranil as his IQ is low. Can you believe now he is trying to study law to become a lawyer? Gold bless the legal profession if a person like him becomes a lawyer. Funy that he says with mediocre results and some fails, he can still be admitetd to SL Law College. What does it say about the entry standards of SL college? In many other countries, only the top students are admitted to law in University. Then again in SL, law is not a university-trained profession. What a country!

This clearly shows that the end result expected is the release of Duminda Silva. All those who we see on TV holding press conferences relating to this episode are on the pay roll of the media mafia.

It clearly evident, that the police on the instructions by the mega thieves of public money for decades who are back in power released the recordings to the foolish public to just blame Ranjan for his unethical acts. Ranjan with his limited knowledge of the law tried to catch the thieves, and show the flows of the system but in a country where justice is a mockery and police is partisan, justice will never happen. All previous presidents, priminsters majority politicians should have been jail. Ranjan is a hero, but the fools here who are equally corrupt in their mindset as the justice, police, and the politicians who have looted the county. Sad.
