President Maithripala Sirisena has consented to appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe the Easter Sunday attacks, MP Mahinda Amaraweera said today.
He told parliament that the PSC had informed the President to appear before the PSC.
"As the President, he could have refused the notice. But as a person who respected democracy, he gave his consent to appear before the PSC," he said.
He said steps would be taken to prevent similar attacks in the future under the leadership of President Sirisena. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)

He probably wrote a whole script of answers to give during the time he said no to PSC so that he won't be caught slipping unwanted answers lol
