The driver of the bus which met with a fatal accident in Passara has not died as reported earlier and he is currently receiving treatment in critical condition, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
“A person who had stuffed in the driving seat was taken out and he was found dead. He was reported at that time as the driver of the bus . But, later it was revealed that he was not the driver and the driver of the bus has been hospitalised with critical injuries,” he said.
DIG Rohana said the driver is identified as a 53-year-old man of Lunugala.
