Parliament Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe Easter Sunday attack postponed the hearing of evidence from former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen to Friday despite his presence before the PSC today due to the absence of three members of the Committee.
Committee Chairman Ananda Kumarasiri said they had to attend an extremely important meeting and asked the minister to come again on June 28 as the first witness.
"There is a practical issue here. We need to have more time to question you. We have another extremely important meeting for which we have been already called for. There are three members missing in the committee. Is it agreeable if we call you on 28th as the first witness? he asked.
Mr. Bathiudeen said he had no issue and would make himself available on Friday, 28.
