PCoI concludes inquiry into Akila’s photograph in textbooks

Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) into the corruption in the current administration concluded its inquiry into the case filed against Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam on charges of including his photograph in school textbooks for 2018 and 2019.

Testifying at the PCoI, former Secretary to the Education Ministry, Sunil Shantha Hettiarchchi said he had advised the Minister that it was not ethical to carry his photograph in school textbooks. (Yoshitha Perera)

    Our Parliamentarians need to grow up in stature. Akila has a nice face. Text book is not the place for it.
