The oxygen availability in hospitals in Sri Lanka is being assessed following a directive by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry has directed all government hospitals to assess oxygen stocks as more patients infected with the coronavirus have been admitted to hospitals.

Intensive Care Units (ICU) are about to reach full capacity, and this has resulted in the need for more oxygen.

There are two main suppliers of oxygen in Sri Lanka and they have informed the Health Ministry that they have adequate stocks to meet the current demand. (Easwaran Rutnam)

Don't act like India, People are die without oxygen and ICU bed. Better to lock-down for 14-15 Days so that Health will under control and that time you can follow the Vaccination every home to home. 1st is people's Life after that economy. people can eat rice and dhall for few days. So Lockdown and vaccination only a solution to overcome the countries economy. I love SL

Are you sure they are telling the truth? 6500 in hospitals at the moment. they are saying they already reached ICU capacity. how about 1 million out of 24 million Sri Lankans getting sick?
