Numerous Covid-19 clusters emerging in the country

Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said numerous Covid-19 clusters were emerging in the country, but the cases could be traced back to their contacts.

Dr. Samaraweera told Daily Mirror the number of infections had increased because of the existence of many clusters. However, he said he could not view it as a sign of the disease spreading cutting across the country. (Kelum Bandara)

Minuwangoda, peliyagoda, prisons, that's all. Others which are emerging has got it from the main 3 'clusters'. It goes not spread in community. Only among the 'identified cluster' (according to or 'sars)

Absolute nut case. 1000 cases reported within 24 hours yesterday. Another 6100 in hospitals. Increase PCR testing in every district. use venues like schools and stadiums to setup PCR testing and vaccination centres.

The number of cases detected is proportional to the number of tests conducted. If the number of tests are increased, we will probably detect more positive cases.
