What about loud horns, is that not noise pollution to the public, there was an effort some time ago to reduce the number of horns on a bus, cannot the minister hear this

It will not work. The private bus operators are like the mafia. They are so powerful that makes it difficult for the authorities to monitor.

Classical Music?
Kingsley Wijesinhe Wednesday, 25 December 2019 08:21 AM
A positive step. But why not have no music at all? Loud classical music could be just as much a nuisance as loud pop.

Noise pollution is every where. from Ice cream seller to temples. There is a Supreme court ruling to warn such people and if continued confesicate the equipments. Do our law enforcement do theier solaman duty?

We always hear of decisions made to start on January 1st. Sadly these never happen or even if these do, forgotten very soon. Let's see if this is something different!
Anmanpan Wednesday, 25 December 2019 09:12 AM
Heard this story 99 times and the music is getting louder and louder.

Too little too late. Most likely most Sri Lankans are deaf to higher frequencies by now.
