Acting IGP C.D. Wickramaratne has informed the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe Easter Sunday attack that according to the investigations carried out into the complaints against former minister Rishad Bathiudeen so far, there is no evidence to show that the minister was involved in the Easter Sunday attack or any terrorist activity, PSC Chairman Ananda Kumarasiri said today.
He told the PSC that the acting IGP had reported on the progress on the investigations carried out against the complaints received by the three-member police team appointed to receive complaints against Rishad Bathiudeen, M.A.L.M. Hisbullah and Azath Salley. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
