There is no need to assign extra buses for transportation of passengers during the Christmas holidays, Transport State Minister Dilum Amunugama said.
He said people have become more sensible and minimize their travelling because of restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
"During the previous festival seasons, additional buses were operated to facilitate the passengers to travel to and from their destinations freely," he said.
However, the normal passenger bus transport service will continue to function as usual during the festive season, Minister added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
