Conducting coaching or tuition classes targeted at the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination will be prohibited from tonight, the Department of Examinations said.
Examinations Commissioner General Sanath Pujitha said the prohibition will be effective until the examination is concluded.
Accordingly, organizing, conducting subject oriented lecturers, seminars or classes, printing exam oriented papers, distribution and giving publicity via electronic media, posters and banners claiming to provide similar questions prior to the examinations are strictly prohibited.
The examination would begin in March 1 and will end on March 10, 2021.
“If a person or an institution is found violatinh the regulations, complaints could be lodged with the nearest Police Station, the Examinations Department or by diallinh the numbers given below,” he said.
