If there be an administration led by Mahinda Rajapaksa, there would be no appearance of a Black Sunday to celebrate today, Transport State Minister Dilum Amunugama said.

While holding a meeting in Kandy he said that most of them thinking that Black Sunday was created by this Government.

After the Sri Lankan civil war in 2009, there was not even a single firecracker was lit until the easter attack in 2019.

State Minister added that those in the opposition appointed a new President and a new government in 2015 by pointing out baseless allegations at the previous administration led by Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Similar accusations are being pointed out at the present administration while it is in the process of ensuring stability.

Therefore, the public should not be deceived by malicious statements, the state Minister added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

When did the opposition get the power to appoint a new president and the new Govt? It is the people of this country who voted for a change. When they did not deliver on the promises, it is the same people who voted another new President and another new Govt.

Please try to understand it is not the celebration, but it is a demonstration to show the displeasure of the action taken against the perpetrators of the Easter Attack till now.

It is 100% true. No bombing would be taken place since the motive was to grab the power thus no black Sunday

    Era Sunday, 07 March 2021 07:05 PM

Yes. 100%. Then the powerful person behind the attack will still be in power, so no need of Easter Attack to change a regime, no Vanda Dr. Safi and Vanda Koththu and Chaneswara as well. Cat is out of the bag.
