New governors appointed for six provinces took their oaths before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this morning.
Accordingly, Lalith U Gamage was sworn in as the Governor of the Central Province while Raja Kollure was appointed as the Governor of the Uva Province.
William Wijesinghe Gamage was sworn in as Governor of the Southern Province and A. J. M. Muzammil as Governor of North-Western.
Tikiri Kobbekaduwa was sworn in as Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province while Seetha Arambepola was appointed as Governor of Western Province.
