DIG of the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FICD) and the Criminal Investigation Department Dhammika Priyantha has been transferred as the DIG of the Wanni District. He is due to assume duties tomorrow (31).
Earlier Mr.Dhammika Priyantha served as the Deputy Director of CID and he was appointed as the Director of the Finance Crime Investigation Division in January 2017. With his promotion to the DIG rank in last June, the Finance Crime Investigation Division (FCID) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were assigned to him. He obtained his first degree from Sri Jayawardenapura University and also received a masters degree in Criminology from the same university. He also holds a Diploma in Criminology and Crime and Justice Studies.
He was a member of the International Assessment Team for International Evaluation and Assessment of the level of compliance of the Philippines with the Financial Action Task Force recommendations on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism by the Asia Pacific Group of Money Laundering (APG )
