Leader of the Mahasohon Balakaya, Amith Weerasinghe and Anti-Corruption Force Operations Director Namal Kumara were arrested today, police said.
They were arrested in Theldeniya and Warakapola areas respectively.
Police said the suspects were arrested by a special police team led by a Superintendent of Police in connection with recent violent incidents took place in the country.
Several months ago, Namal Kumara was in the limelight after allegedly revealing a VIP assassination plot.
