Mother faces 20- year-imprisonment if found guilty

In the Western countries mothers, fathers or both killing their own children do happens, it is shocking to the South Asians living in the West because it is completely alien to us. In such cases the parents are sent to long prison sentence and in America they are sentenced for life . What happened in this case in Sri Lanka is definitely not an attempt to kill but a heartless mother beating her child for doing something the didn’t like. This is common in Sri Lanka and we have to educate the parents about the harm they are inflicting on their children, because parents think that they are correcting their children. So let us not equate what happened to this child in Sri Lanka with cold blooded killings of children by their parents in the West and follow the Western practices of sending parents to long term imprisonments. This Sri Lankan mother should be placed in probation for about two years and not in prison.

Parents like this, don’t deserve precious children! There are people around the world shedding tears everyday for not being able to have children! Whatever reason the mother had to act so animal-like, cannot he accepted. What reason does she have!!! educating??! Seriously??! That child is only nine-months old!! This mother will have to expect the curse of all mothers and people who have some kind of feeling! I am Disgusted! Wish the child would get a better future!!

This is attempted murder and 20 years in prison, law of the land. But 250 killed in churches no criminals found and no one in prison. That is also the law of the land.

You see in the picture the child clinging on to the mother for her love having forgiven and forgotten the incident. If you separate them the child will be the ultimate loser. Don't try to be paper heroes at the poor child's expense rather expend your energy on arresting criminals. I am sad, shocked at the publicity given when dedicated criminals are freely roaming and even pardoned.
