More security for religious places, schools

Additional personnel would be deployed to ensure the safety of all religious places and schools as required, the President’s Media Division said.

The PMD said President Maithripala Sirisena had instructed the Commanders of the Tri-Forces and the Acting IGP to deploy additional personnel to ensure the safety of all religious places and schools as necessary.

Schools are scheduled to be reopened on Monday, May 6.
