May all those who celebrate Christmas today do so with the wish that all beings should be happy and well as per the teachings of Jesus Christ who stood for justice and love, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene has said in his Christmas message.
Mr Wijewardene said: “People around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who stood for truth, justice and love today.
“Jesus Christ stood for truth, justice and love. These are the values which those who celebrate Christmas today should stand for at a time such as this when the world is facing a pandemic. “I also join the Christians to celebrate Christmas today despite being a Buddhist and wish that all beings are happy,” he said.

It is so easy to say such things on Dec 25. What about days from Dec 26 to Dec 24 the following year? It is the job of people like you to facilitate that happiness and bring about lasting change.
