Govt. has no intention to change existing system right now Army Chief warns people to continue exercising caution

Sri Lankans who travel overseas will be required to be quarantined on their return even if they have been vaccinated. Army Commander Shavendra Silva said the authorities have not yet considered amending the quarantine process.

General Silva said as the vaccination process is still in its initial stages the Government has not considered any changes to the existing system.

Last week General Silva warned the public who obtained the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine to continue exercising caution and not be over-confident. He noted that some people had begun to go about without taking precautions after obtaining the first jab. He said that taking just the first dose does not give anyone immunity from the coronavirus. Health authorities commenced administering the vaccines to vulnerable groups in Sri Lanka from January. Sri Lanka is also set to receive the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines allocated under the COVAX facility of the World Health Organization tomorrow.(VYSHNAVY VELRAJH)

Who will come from abroad they must take pcr test before one day to travel. It will prove you're negative. Second pcr test you have to do in the airport where you arrive. It will prove again your negative. Europe most of countries no Quarantine if you're negative or maximum seven days Home Quarantine or Hotel Quarantine. It's depend. India, Malaysia, Philippines etc Other Asian countries also following same thing. Only Sri Lanka they have a different type of system to struggle they are citizens. The government not respecting to their citizens is very hard thing to grow the country. The government is always trying to help the businessmen who have done their best in the election. The ruler forgets that he must finally come to the people in order to win the election.
