A Maldivian child is in serious condition after falling from the second storey of a building in Sri Lanka.
Foreign Ministry and the Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka have confirmed that such an incident had occurred.
It has been reported that the three-year-old child was first treated at Kalubowila Hospital for injuries sustained in the fall. However, the child has since been shifted to Lanka Hospitals, where he is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit.
Foreign Ministry said the Maldives Embassy will provide assistance to the family if requested. (Avas Daily)

Glad they took him to govt as otherwise the pvt hospital scum will fleece the parents, take millions and send the toddler home in a coffin - body released only after massive bill is paid. Govt hospitals are better. Facilities may not be the best, but at least they try to save your life instead of being more interested in how much they can charge you!

Indeed. Always during an accident or emergency go first to the government hospitals. They're not the most polite, but the staff know exactly what to do in dire circumstances.

Agree wholeheartedly. Patients too must cooperate to make the government hospitals better.
