When contacted by Daily Mirror, a spokesperson for Sirisena said that the former President did not wish to comment on the report at this moment. He said that anyone can say anything but the former President had decided not to respond to the allegations in the report at this moment.
The report was compiled by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCOI), a commission appointed by Sirisena. In the report the Presidential Commission has proposed criminal action against former President Maithripala Sirisena. The report said based on the evidence, it is of the view that there is criminal liability on the part of former President Sirisena for the acts or omissions pertaining to the attacks.
The PCOI has recommended that the Attorney General (AG) consider instituting criminal proceedings against Sirisena under any suitable provision in the Penal Code. The report further proposed that criminal action be instituted against former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundera as well. The PCOI report has also held former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe accountable for the failure to prevent the attacks.

Please take immediate action against the culprits mentioned in the report. However in higher positions they are they should be punished. Do not allow them to escape through any loopholes in the systems. Then only the victims soul will rest in peace.

There is a good chance for Sirisena to escape through a loop hole. Sirisena is insane and insane people can't be tried in a court of law.

MS and RW along with all cabinet ministers of the time are directly responsible for negligence for the murder of innocent church goers and tourists. They all knew except the the public and did nothing.

All politicians knew this attack except us. They did not revealed this attack for their political mileage which they enjoy now .

How can he comment as he in the man responsible for this attack. He is doing the best he can do. Ranil needs to be held responsible as he was part of the team that got Sira to be elected president of Sri Lanka. Sira needs to be put behind bars.

Very true, Mythiripala Sirisena was 100% responsible for the Easter Sunday Attacks as he held all the important Ministries under his pocket and acted like a Dictator. Meantime, very sad it is evident that he got a big money bag by the Terrorists and allowed them to attack. So, now his guilty conscience is beating him.
