After recording the highest number of new COVID cases yesterday, Kurunegala District recorded the highest number of positive cases during the past 24-hours, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
They said Kurunegala recorded 317 cases, followed by Colombo district with 317 and Gampaha stood third with 193 positive cases.
114 COVID positive cases from Galle, 101 from Matale and 100 from Kalutara have been reported yesterday, the Operation centre said.
Meanwhile, 1,662 cases have been reported across the country yesterday alone. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
