Former Western Province Chief Minister Isura Devapriya, who was appointed Chairman of the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) yesterday, assumed duties at the Authority today after observing religious observances. A political stooge appointed to a top govt. post will start from day one fattening his purse through commissions on contracts and tenders. This is the normal practice in SriLanka.
