The Departments of Immigration and Emigration and the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) today requested the people not to visit the Departmental offices for services from tomorrow.
They said the people were seen visiting the departments without following any COVID-19 health guidelines and that such behaviour will pose a risk to both staffers and the visitors.
The Controller of Immigration and Emigration requested the public not to visit the office for three days from tomorrow to help control the spread of COVID-19.
He has requested the people to obtain the services from the Department by contacting the relevant divisions via telephone numbers and e-mails during office hours from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm.

Meanwhile, DMT Commissioner-General Sumith C.K. Alahakoon requested the public not to visit the DMT Narahenpita office and the Werahera Office Branch until Monday (12).
