Following the appointment of C.D. Wickremeratne as the acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Pujith Jayasundara has been sent on compulsory leave, sources said.

It was reported that the Law and Order Ministry has ordered that the IGP be sent on compulsory leave.

After the Easter Sunday attacks on April 21, President Maithripala Sirisena asked the IGP to resign.

Dear boy now tell the world what had really happened, we don’t believe any one-since all have broken the trust place on them, Let the people judge as to who is telling the truth.

Mr. Pujith Jayasundara, There are two options for you, either tell what really happened in public or be quite and make public to assume that you are at fault. However, there is one thing, of course we can trust you much more than a politician.
