Srilanka is going to miss a gentleman. Very difficult to fill his place. UNP has no future as the inexperienced members ruined the party. God bless them all

Your intelligent and farsighted vision is necessary for the welfare of the country, though you could not implement them due to then prevailing political background in the state structure.

Never understood and never appreciated the work he has done. I can see tons of mud thrown at him by some ungrateful Sri Lankans. We will miss him..soon

He was very happy to be sworn in as PM as soon as Maithree took his oaths, but has been very reluctant to leave even after being rejected wholesale by the people of this nation.

This ungrateful nation will be interlectually poorer with out him. He never got a chance to do what he thought was right for the country. First it was CBK who sabotaged then came Sirisena....
Karu Wednesday, 20 November 2019 05:12 PM
Sri Lankans never understood him and he never understood the Sri Lankans. Those close to him understood his weakness well to pull the rag under his feet. History will judge the past. The current scenario is temporary as nothing other than change is permanent
