Heavy traffic was reported around the Galle Face Green due to the election rally organized by the New Democratic Front (UNF), Police said.

Not only Galle face, the whole of Colombo is filled with Premmadasa supporters and their busses. One of the largest crowds ever witnessed in Colombo for the last 50 years.

What silly nonsense. Do you think any voter would be hoodwinked by this utter waste of resources. Furthermore why did the traffic police allow all these buses to be double parking even on foot walks etc. If we park a car even for a short time on pavements, we would be fined immediately.
