While unreservedly refuting allegations levelled against him over the dastardly Easter Sunday attacks, MP Rauff Hakeem said yesterday he had nothing to hide and would willingly provide any statement needed for investigations.
“I had no association with terrorists whatsoever and my conscience is clear. Various posts on electronic media criticising and falsely accusing Muslim politicians will result in lesser support from the Muslim community in the upcoming general elections. While strongly condemning this politically-motivated campaign revolving around fabricated allegations, Sri Lanka should work towards establishing ethnic harmony,” he said. (Thisari Walawege)
