Four accomplices of ’Gonakovil Roha’ arrested with ammo

Four accomplices of underworld figure Devamuni Rohana Harold de Silva alias ‘Gonakovil Roha' have been arrested by the STF during a raid at Mount Lavinia last night.

The STF recovered 255 rounds of T-56 ammunition and 7 rounds of 8mm and 9mm ammunition from the suspects’ possession.

Gangster ‘Gonakovil Sudda’ and three others aged between 28 and 44, residents of Moratuwa and Ratmalana were handed over to the Mount Lavinia Police for further investigation.

‘Gonakovil Roha', who was planning to flee to India, was killed in a shootout with police in the Kochchikade area in Negombo last month.
