The COVID-19 death toll in Sri Lanka climbed to 489 with five more deaths being confirmed by the Director-General of Health Services, the Government Information Department said.
Accordingly, a 53-year-old female from Ussapitiya, a 78-year-old female from Giriulla, a 72-year-old male from Kolonnawa, a 62-year-old female from Mattakkuliya and a 70-year-old female from Boralesgamu died from the virus.

Have they stopped telling us how many daily infections recorded? Is it that the number of tests is so few that they don't really know? If Italy does 200,000 a day we should do around 65,000. I think we are relying on guesswork or the ostrich position.
