Easter Sunday terror attack: 18 more arrested

Eighteen suspects had been nabbed by the police on suspicion of having connection with the Easter Sunday terror attack on Sunday (21) during search operations conducted in several areas yesterday, police said.

Accordingly, they said six suspects were arrested during the search operation in the Aluthgama area while five suspects were arrested from Beruwala and six suspects from Katuwapitiya.

Police also arrested another suspect after the police and STF personnel searched a house in the Warakapola area where they found a motorcycle and four walkie talkies.
