DIG and Director of PNB transferred

The DIG and the Director of Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) have been transferred following a request of the Acting IGP C.D. Wickramaratna.

The Acting IGP had requested the National Police Commission (NPC) to transfer PNB DIG Sajeewa Medawatta and PNB Director SSP Manjula Senarath.

Meanwhile, NPC Secretary Nishantha Weerasinghe said the National Police Commission (NCP) has approved DIG GKJ Aponso as the new head of the Police Narcotics Bureau and SSP Sujith Wedamulla as the new Director.

    It appears that Narcotic Bureau had been doing Narcotic Business. Disband the whole Bureau and put the Army in charge of Anti-Narcotic investigations.
