The Court of Appeal today issued an interim order directing Commissioner General of Prisons to allow convicted MP Premalal Jayasekara to attend Parliament sittings.
The convicted MP had filed a writ petition seeking the High Court to issue an Interim Order to Commissioner General of Prisons to allow him to attend Parliament sittings.
The Order was delivered by the two-judge-bench comprising Appeal Court Chairman A. H. M. D. Nawaz and Justice Sobhitha Rajakaruna. (Thilini De Silva and Ranjan Katugampola)

Are we governed by the law of the jungle, or what? So just tell me; if his death sentence is to be carried out and on that same day there is Parliament sittings; which takes precedence? First to Parliament then to Gallows?
