A five-member committee has been appointed by Energy Minister Udhaya Gammanpila to investigate into the spread of COVID-19 at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery.
The Committee chaired by Energy Ministry Secretary Chandika Ethugala includes Adviser to the Energy Minister Lalith Wasantha, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Managing Director Buddhika Madihahewa, Senior Assistant Secretary to the Energy Ministry Nayana Senaratne and medical officer of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) Roshini Susiriwardena.
A total of 474 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery so far.
