Most of the roads including some of the areas of Baseline Road had been flooded and causing heavy traffic due to the heavy rains, Police Emergency Division said.
Accordingly, Armour Street and Barber Street in front of Kotahena Jethawana Viharaya, St. James Street, Bluemandal Road in Kotahena, Fort Reclamation Road, Jinthupitiya Junction, the road in front of Kirulapona Police Station, High-Level Road, Baseline Road, Robert Gunawardane Junction and the road near Dematagoda Alidenna Templebhad been flooded.
Police requested motorists to be extra cautious when driving during heavy rains.
