A female employee engaged in cleaning at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has been admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital this morning after being diagnosed with COVID-19, Airport Duty Manager said.
He said the employee (47), a resident of Arachchikattuwa in Chilaw.
It was reported that the employee was provided transportation to and from her home in Arachchikattuwa everyday.
Another ten employees who were working alongside her, were sent home to serve mandatory self-quarantine process, after they have been subject to PCR tests, the Duty Manager added. (T.K.G. Kapila)
