The Health Ministry has informed regional Medical Officers of Health, Medical Directors, epidemiologists to check the Chinese employees working in construction sites countrywide as to determine whether any of them is infected with Coronavirus, Deputy Health Services Director of the Health Ministry Dr. Paba Palihawadana said.
Speaking to Daily Mirror, she said they had informed to carry out checking operations and awareness programmes with regard to Coronavirus among Chinese employees.
“The relevant medical officers will take prompt measures to hospitalize any employee, who is found infected with Coronavirus. This is to make sure that the country is totally safe from the epidemic,” Dr. Palihawadana said.
She said medical officers are on the alert to detect employees who are found with any symptom of the disease.
“The Epidemiology unit will monitor the entire programme and take necessary action accordingly,” she said.
There are many construction sites in and out of Colombo City, where several Chinese employees are engaged in work. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

I think all the employees working especially in construction sites need to be checked now that they are back in SL.
