The Chauffeur Tourist Guide Lecturers' Association (CTGLA) today requested the authorities to crosscheck with the hotel checklists to identify the persons whom he had associated with the Tourist Guide who was found infected with COVID-19.
The infected tour guide (52) was a member of the Chauffeur Tourist Guide Association and a resident of Kottawa.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the Association President Chandima Jayaweera said it is hard to find the persons who had associated with him.
Therefore, he requested all his associates to visit their doctors to check themselves with COVID-19.
"During his tour, he had visited two hotels Amaya Lake Dambulla and Royal Kandyan in Kandy during March 3 and 8. Those two hotels should be checked with associates" he said.
Mr. Jayaweera said if any other person was found infected by the virus, the government should take strict measures to check the associates while checking the hotel checklists as well.
All our members of the Association had been aware of this situation and to be cautious, he added.
Meanwhile, the four Italian tourists who toured Sri Lanka had left the country on March 8. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
