Cabinet approves tablets to GCE Advanced Level students

The Cabinet today approved the proposal made by Education Minister Akila Wiraj Kariyawasam to distribute tablets among GCE A/L students and teachers.

President Maithripala Sirisena had expressed his opposition to this project when it was first mooted by the Education Ministry.

    So commissions will be effective for Akila rather than developing schools without furniture, safe buildings, etc.
