Colombo has recorded a sudden rise in Covid infections, after the numbers dropped over the past couple of weeks.
Officials said that 106 people infected with the virus have been detected in the Colombo District.
This includes 56 people found to be infected in Battaramulla.
The detection was made over a 24-hour period ending at 6am today.
Over tha past couple of weeks Colombo had recorded much less than 50 infections daily.
However, based on the latest data released by the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19, over 100 infections have been detected in the Colombo District from a total of 313 people who tested positive for the virus during this period. (Jamila Husein)

What is the % of detection as opposed to the number of test conducted. I dont' think there could be a significant difference
