The curse of Sri Lanka - Provincial Councils. All thugs and hooligans and scum get it and make money or create bedlam

I have been following the Daily Mirror online editions for a considerable length of time. Unfortunately your paper adopt a very subtle practice when reporting this kind of politician’s involved thuggery. If the person involved is from UNP you straight away highlight the fact he/ she is a UNPer. However if it were to be a SLPP affiliated politico you just totally ignore his/ her affiliation and just come out with a line as the above. Why this double standard? It is somewhat below the standard expected from a decent newspaper and more in line with dirty tabloids
