Puttalam District UNP MP, Shantha Sisira Kumara Abeysekara’s son Ishan Chaturanga was arrested this morning after he surrendered to the police over an assault on a police constable attached to the Ministerial Security Division (MSD).
He would be produced in the court today.
The PC was assaulted at the MP's residence in Chilaw Saturday night and was admitted to the Chilaw Hospital.

At least he is arrested under this regime. If previous regime was in power, MSD office will give a statement he assaulted himself and will be discharged and sent home.
