Arjuna resigns as UNP Gampaha District leader

UNP Gampaha District Leader Arjuna Ranatunga has resigned from his post with immediate effect today.

Mr. Ranatunga in his letter addressed to UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has said he has decided to resign from the District Leader’s post as he thought it was not proper for the party’s Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene to be under him .

Copies of the letter has been sent to General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Mr. Wijewardene, Assitant Leader Ravi Karunanayake and National Organizer Navin Dissanayake
