Another round of discussion between Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the office of the opposition leader.
SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera, General Secretary of United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Mahinda Amaraweera, Parliamentarian Thilanga Sumathipala and former SLFP General Secretary Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa will attend the discussion. Besides, SLPP will be represented by its Chairman Prof. G.L.Peris, Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma and senior lecturer of Colombo University Jagath Wellawatta will participate.
Meanwhile, the central committee of the SLFP will meet at 6.00 p.m. in the President’s Office with the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
It is said that a final decision will be taken regarding the steps to be taken by the SLFP regarding the forthcoming presidential elections.
In the meantime, a meeting with the patronage of the President will be held tomorrow with the participation of the SLFP organisers for the electorates at the President’s House. (Sujith Hewajulige)
