The results of the 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination will be released within seven days from today, Education Minister G.L. Peiris said.
After conducting the examination for 22 days which ended during the last week of November 2020, he said.
"A total number of 362,000 candidates sat for the exam. The Government did conduct the examination with several difficulties. The Ministry had to postpone the practical tests on aesthetic and technological subjects due to COVID infections among candidates. So the practical examinations had to be postponed until the candidates were recovered," he said.
With the release of examination results, the candidate would be able to apply for university enrolments by September without wasting another year, the Minister added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
