A total of 7,098 curfew violators have been taken into custody and 1,702 vehicles seized by last noon, Police Spokesman Jaliya Senaratne said.
“Between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon yesterday, 173 people were arrested and 24 vehicles seized from Gampaha, Colombo, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna Districts where curfew remained in force,” he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

What is the punishment for this Lawbreakers. Suggestion Make then clean and sweep the roads in their area. They will never break the law again. Over to you dedicated Officers.

7098 violators ? are they in remand or released on police -bail. We do not want statistics, tell the punishment given.
