The disrupted power supply was restored up to fifty per cent after six hours, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Chairman Vijitha Herath said.
He said the restoration was completed in the Southern Province and certain areas in the Western Province.
He also said a report would be submitted to Power Minister Dullas Alahapperuma over the power disruption.
