A 43-year-old man was killed and thrown into a canal at Angulana early this morning.

Police said the victim and another man had got into a brawl following a dispute at a big girl party in Angulana last night.

It was revealed that the suspect had assaulted the man and then thrown him into a canal over a bridge in Angulana.

The Police arrested a 33-year -old suspect in connection with the incident.

Both victim and the suspect were identified as residents of Moratumulla.
